Job Title: Senior Mental Health Nurse Specialist for Older Adults in Auckland

About the Role:
This challenging and innovative role is based at MHSOP Community Team, Middlemore Hospital, providing specialist mental health care to older adults. As a senior nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing and managing relationships between the MHSOP Community Team and other community services.

Main Responsibilities:
- Facilitate access to mental health services for older adults
- Develop effective communication channels with healthcare professionals, PHOs, and ARRC facilities
- Deliver clinical care pathways to meet the mental health needs of people in the locality
- Support members of the MHSOP Community team

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in mental health
- Experience working in an older adult mental health setting
- Post-graduate certificate or diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Extensive knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions in older adults
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with General Practitioners and PHOs
- Full and clean NZ driver's license

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
