We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Physician to join our team at the Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit in central Auckland.

About the Opportunity

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Psychiatrists, Nurses, and Allied Health staff to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders.

You will have a special interest in adult acute inpatient psychiatry and be passionate about promoting recovery for our patients.

The role involves working collaboratively with community mental health teams, family/whanau, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

You will enjoy great support and diversity in a busy and interesting clinical teaching environment, with opportunities to contribute to research and professional development.

Requirements
  • Medical practitioner registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (eligible for Vocational Registration in Psychiatry)
  • Annual Practising Certificate
  • Ability to participate on the adult mental health Consultant on-call roster

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, depending on experience.
