The Role

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide quality clinical services to children, young people, and their families within our boundaries.
  • Ensure the application of current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in psychiatry to clinical situations and team decision-making.
  • Participate in clinical partnerships to deliver integrated, effective, and efficient assessment and care.

About the Team/Service

We are the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato. Our Puawai Regional Forensic Mental Health Service provides assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to individuals who have contact with the justice system and have a moderate to severe mental illness.

  • A Psychiatrist who is vocationally registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
