As a clinical expert, you will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate and current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the area of psychiatry are applied to clinical situations and team decision making.

Puawai Regional Forensic Mental Health Service operates in various settings, including Puna Matai (acute), Puna Awhi Rua (sub-acute), Puna Poipoi (rehabilitation), and two transition wards (minimum security).

Apart from the transition wards, all wards are secure.

This service also provides community services to the courts and prisons, and support for tangata whaiora in a community setting.
