- This is a chance to work in New Zealand's largest Stem Cell Transplant and Malignant Haematology Service.
- As part of the malignant Clinical Haematology Service, you will provide tertiary services including treatment of acute leukaemia, high grade lymphoma and autologous/allogeneic stem cell transplant for the greater Auckland region.
About the Unit:
The malignant Clinical Haematology Service is based at Auckland City Hospital and is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people.
The service works closely with a well-established thrombosis unit and bleeding disorder program, as well as LabPlus which provides integrated and comprehensive laboratory support for the clinical service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the teaching programme for undergraduate medical students, registrars and hospital staff.
- Support the unit's drive for excellence and continued FACT accreditation through quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in clinical trials, collaborative group, investigator initiated, and pharmaceutical sponsored.
Requirements:
- Vocational and/or Locum Tenens registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- An interest in quality improvement and contributing to the teaching programme.
