Job Description

The Malignant Haematology Service provides secondary and tertiary haematology services to the central Auckland area. As a Clinical Haematologist, you will work with the malignant haematology team, utilizing your skills and experience in clinical haematology, sub-speciality experience, and research in aspects of general and malignant haematology.

You will be part of the malignant Clinical Haematology Service, working closely with a well-established thrombosis unit and bleeding disorder program, as well as LabPlus for integrated laboratory support.

In this role, you will have opportunities for research, quality improvement, basic science collaboration, and education. You will also contribute to the teaching programme for undergraduate medical students, registrars, and hospital staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • Sub-speciality experience in aspects of general and malignant haematology
  • Experience in clinical trials and pharmaceutical sponsored trials
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
