The Otago Regional Council (ORC) is an organization committed to safeguarding and enhancing the environment in Otago. To achieve this mission, we need skilled professionals who can help us develop effective environmental management plans.

We are seeking a Catchment Action Analyst to join our team in Dunedin. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring catchment action plans with a focus on leading the development and ongoing maintenance of spatial systems.

The role involves:

  • Collating and analysing GIS data to inform the development of catchment action plans, including baseline catchment data, spatial representation of values, and prioritisation criteria.
  • Designing and implementing a monitoring, evaluation, and reporting framework for CAPs, including contributing to the development of a spatial database.
  • Coordinating and providing input to an online portal for public access to CAP information, progress, and outcomes.
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of CAP progress.

To succeed in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in environmental management, resource planning, or a related field, along with significant experience in environmental management and GIS analysis.
