About the Job:

This Production Manager role is a key position in our Upper South Island region, responsible for leading a team that delivers track maintenance and renewals. As a leader, you'll promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and work closely with our Regional Infrastructure Manager to develop and implement strategies that meet our goals.

Your responsibilities will include managing work scheduling, prioritising proactive maintenance, and ensuring work is delivered on time and to required quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least 5 years in operational management or leadership, ideally within rail, transport, or logistics.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and drive performance through coaching and mentoring.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financials and commercial aspects of infrastructure management.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making skills in complex operational environments.
  • Communication: Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent job-related experience.
