Leadership Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our Occupational Therapy team. As a Clinical Team Leader, you will be integral to our leadership team, working closely with other Clinical Team Leaders and the Clinical Manager to lead and improve clinical services in the Older Person's health and Rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to daily operational planning and supporting any service improvement initiatives.
  • Holding a clinical caseload within our Older Person's Health team.
  • Supporting and fostering the development of approximately 8-10 direct report Occupational Therapy team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A sound clinical background in a rehabilitation hospital setting (a minimum of 5 years experience post-qualification is desirable).
  • An understanding of core business needs of Occupational Therapy service provision.
  • Previous experience in leading a team and/or project management is desirable.
  • Sound working knowledge of local, national and international health systems is strongly desired.
  • Proven experience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to foster and support the development of a team both collectively and on an individual basis.
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
