About UsAt Critical., we're redefining plastic waste with our innovative material, Critical. Cleanstone, made from 100% recycled plastics. Our goal is to scale our technology and products globally, transforming plastic waste into high-value building materials. We aim to uplift the mauri (life force) of te taiao (the natural world).
The RoleWe seek a Chief Operations Officer to oversee operations, supply chain management, team development, and profitability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in aligning operations with ambitious growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Operations Leadership: Take full ownership of end-to-end operations from order placement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timelines are met.
- Supply Chain Management: Build relationships with suppliers for quality recycled materials and streamline the supply chain to reduce inefficiencies and improve sustainability.
- HR and Team Development: Create a culture of high performance, overseeing recruitment and management of staff, employee accountability, and wellbeing.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with the founder on strategic initiatives and operational insights, providing the operational backbone for international expansion.
- Metric-driven Excellence: Define and track key KPIs for operational excellence, continuously assessing and improving processes for scalability and profitability.
This position requires proven experience in operations management, ideally in manufacturing or a fast-paced startup environment. You should be a strategic thinker, resilient, and adaptable, with exceptional ability to build systems for scalability and manage teams with a culture of excellence.
Salary Range:$150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
