Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23.84 - $29.10, depending on relevant qualifications. As you gain qualifications, your earning potential increases. You'll also enjoy generous long service leave entitlements and insurance benefits after two years' service.


Job Description

As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop their independence and acquire skills for daily living. This includes tasks such as helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, you may also assist with individual needs like shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts
  • Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support
  • A full NZ driver's license
