Job Overview:

The Three-Waters Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that the Matamata-Piako District Council meets its regulatory obligations related to water management. This position requires a strong understanding of national and regional water regulations and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to various stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze data from compliance monitoring systems to identify potential non-compliances
  2. Provide technical advice and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, including training and development
  3. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify compliance with regulations
  4. Prepare and submit reports to regulators and internal stakeholders
  5. Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement strategies to improve water management

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Minimum of one year's experience in three-waters compliance or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
