We are seeking an experienced and passionate medical expert to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, research-driven environment while living in a vibrant city.

This permanent, full-time position involves providing specialist expertise in clinical immunology and immunopathology to patients and referrers across the region. Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and managing allergic diseases, autoimmune conditions, and primary immunodeficiencies.
  • Supporting the development of laboratory diagnostic services, particularly in autoimmune serology, allergy, and immunodeficiency.
  • Contributing to the teaching of medical and scientific staff and supporting research initiatives.
  • Providing consultative and advisory services for laboratory testing and clinical case interpretation.
  • Participating in quality assurance, clinical governance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
To excel in this role, you will need:Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent).
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, including vocational registration in the specialty.
  • Laboratory experience in immunology at a senior level.
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate and medical indemnity insurance.
