**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Immunologist and Immunopathologist to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, research-driven environment while living in the vibrant, picturesque city of Christchurch.

This permanent, full-time position involves providing specialist expertise in clinical immunology and immunopathology to patients and referrers across the Health New Zealand, Canterbury.

Key responsibilities include:

- Diagnosing and managing allergic diseases, autoimmune conditions, and primary immunodeficiencies.
- Supporting the development of laboratory diagnostic services, particularly in autoimmune serology, allergy, and immunodeficiency.
- Contributing to the teaching of medical and scientific staff and supporting research initiatives.
- Providing consultative and advisory services for laboratory testing and clinical case interpretation.
- Participating in quality assurance, clinical governance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

**To excel in this role, you will need**:
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent).
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, including vocational registration in the specialty.
- Laboratory experience in immunology at a senior level.
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate and medical indemnity insurance.
