Auckland Council is seeking a talented Biosecurity Compliance Officer to join our Biosecurity Compliance Programme. As a key player in this program, you will be responsible for designing and implementing compliance projects that focus on identifying and addressing patterns of risk and harm.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing comprehensive compliance plans to ensure the effectiveness of our biosecurity measures.
  • Providing expert guidance to customers on compliance matters, utilizing a range of intervention tools.
  • Managing conflict situations effectively and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our compliance processes and participate in the delivery of proactive initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in local government legislation, encompassing the Resource Management Act, Building Act, and Local Government Act.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, coupled with strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a compliance or regulatory context, accompanied by a relevant technical or professional qualification.
