Job Description:
The Senior Logistics Development Manager will develop profitable transactional and managed transportation business by identifying sales opportunities, closing deals, and building long-lasting customer relationships in a competitive industry. Key responsibilities include expanding the account base, increasing revenues, and improving profitability through business development with new customers, managing existing customer relationships, and creating unique value for clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Outside sales/business development experience within freight brokerage and managed transportation (5+ years)
* Mode of transportation expertise (Reefer, Dry Van, TL) for produce and refrigerated & ambient food products
* Contractual business process knowledge (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
* Regional and national accounts experience
* Strong selling and closing capabilities
* Sales performance metrics (KPI's, client development)
* Strong negotiation ability (customer, margin integrity)
* Computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
