About the Role:

  • Support the Clinical Nurse Manager and leadership team with the coordination of high quality, safe, client focused care.
  • Provide specialist nursing advice, support and expertise.
  • Improve the experience for consumers, including their family and whānau.
  • Ensure that quality systems are in place within and across Wāhi Oranga nursing services to enhance care delivery.

About the Team/Location:

  • The Clinical Coordinator role has responsibility for the day to day running of the unit and clinical oversight of a Multi-disciplinary team.
  • You will be a key member of the Wāhi Oranga leadership team and will be able to make a real difference in the level of care provided to Mental Health consumers.
  • Hours and days of work will be 0700 - 15:30 Monday to Friday.

About You:

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of health professionals.
  • Highly organised and motivated by work that is both busy and challenging.
