Delivering Exceptional Care

As a Senior Registrar in our Clinical Trials Unit, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of exceptional care to our patients. Our team is committed to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term position available from now to 25th January 2026. You will work closely with our Clinical Trials team, performing Sponsor and Investigator-initiated research and conducting clinical consultations. With over 12 active clinical trials, you will have opportunities to contribute to significant research projects and develop your skills as a sub-investigator and/or Principal Investigator.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with our Clinical Trials team to develop and implement clinical trial protocols, ensuring compliance with International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) regulatory authorities' requirements and local policy requirementsConduct patient required protocol visits, including clinical assessments and results interpretationLiaise with key study and medical personnel and sponsors to ensure smooth trial executionInteract extensively with the other members of the Clinical Trials Unit, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environmentParticipate in outpatient clinics, haematology research, and multidisciplinary team meetings, maintaining accurate records and adhering to protocol requirementsEducate and inform patients and their support-persons of clinical trials and the experimental nature of the drug products

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles, as well as a willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
