About Us
Socialsmiths, a family-owned business in the liquor industry, is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Territory Sales Manager. We boast a range of premium, on-trend brands such as ALBA, Grog, East Imperial, and The Hunting Lodge Wines. Our South Island region has seen significant growth over the past year, which has led to the addition of another person to the area.
This role could be based in Christchurch, Nelson, or Blenheim. You will need to bring your A game to continue this success. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective call cycle to cover your territory efficiently and ensuring consistent engagement with clients. Your strong relationships and communication skills will enable you to drive new business acquisition and expansion of our portfolio primarily into independent off-premise accounts.

- Well-Connected: An established network of contacts within the liquor industry, giving you a head start in expanding our portfolio's reach.
- Industry-Savvy: A thorough knowledge of the liquor industry, particularly in selling to liquor stores and understanding what consumers are drinking.
- Competitive and Driven: Motivated by targets and competition, consistently striving to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an effective call cycle to cover your territory efficiently and ensure consistent engagement with clients.
- Driving new business acquisition and expansion of our portfolio primarily into independent off-premise accounts.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to ensure excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting national account ranging and promotions efforts within your territory.
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Socialsmiths and promoting our RTD brands and driving brand awareness in the market.
Requirements:
- FMCG Industry Experience: Proven experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, particularly in selling liquor to liquor stores.
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and achieving sales targets.
- Relevant Education: A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
