About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Private Secretary to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience in the management and leadership of high performing teams, and will be able to develop and implement effective communication strategies to build relationships within the Minister's team, with peers and with key internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the machinery of Government, and will be able to manage and maintain complex legislative and operational policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a tight knit, trusted, and highly performing team who support the Minister as a part of the government.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to build relationships within the Minister's team, with peers and with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain complex legislative and operational policy frameworks.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, operating on a "no surprises" basis, keeping the Minister and wider team informed of issues that impact on the workings of government.
