Overview
The Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC) at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research is pioneering the translation of cutting-edge research into innovative healthcare solutions. We collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance Singapore-discovered therapeutic assets from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate projects entering EDDC's portfolio by conducting thorough business due diligence.
  2. Perform market analysis and continuously monitor the competitive landscape as projects progress within our portfolio.
  3. Foster strong relationships with local and international scientific and business partners crucial to EDDC's success.
  4. Lead contractual negotiations and participate in commercialization discussions (e.g., out-licensing, co-development) with third parties in collaboration with A* Innovation & Enterprise and A*STAR Legal.
  5. Represent EDDC and its projects at meetings with external academic and industry partners.
  6. Attend international industry partnering conferences to connect with potential pharma and biotech partners, showcase EDDC's drug discovery efforts, and establish strategic partnerships.

Requirements
  1. Degree in biology, biochemistry, or related discipline. Additional qualifications in business administration, finance, or a related field will be a plus. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) preferred.
  2. Proven experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including deal-making and strategic partnerships.
  3. Strong understanding of drug development processes, market dynamics, and intellectual property considerations.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
