**The Role**

We're seeking an experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to join our team in Mt Wellington, Auckland. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for implementing, administering, and operating all networks and firewalls across our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, including expert knowledge of Juniper or Cisco network switching and Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management. Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of WAN, SD-WAN, routing, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls.

The successful candidate will lead upgrades and maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement to provide a reliable and secure network infrastructure. They will also lead/assist project scoping, planning, and deployment for network infrastructure and new site commissioning projects in support of our Annual Operating Plan goals.

We're looking for someone who is results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities**

  • Implement, administer, and operate all networks and firewalls across our organization.
  • Lead upgrades and maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement to provide a reliable and secure network infrastructure.
  • Lead/Assist project scoping, planning, and deployment for network infrastructure and new site commissioning projects in support of our Annual Operating Plan goals.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to deliver and support our highly reliable and available IT network infrastructure.

Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent years of experience (8+ years in IT).
  • 8+ years of experience in a network-focused technology role.
  • Expert knowledge of Juniper or Cisco network switching.
  • Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management.
  • Knowledge of WAN, SD-WAN, routing, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, firewalls, etc.
