**Network Engineer Position:**
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale ICT networks using Arista equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement large-scale ICT networks using Arista equipment
- Develop solutions for private cloud or tenancy
- Build and deploy within a segmented network environment, focusing on virtualization and platform layers
- Implement and test Quality of Service (QoS) DSCP markings of traffic to meet defined standards within secure federated environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
- Over 5 years' experience in implementing large-scale ICT networks using Arista equipment
- Detailed knowledge of different cybersecurity and network technologies
- Experience in working on geographically dispersed and constrained networks, associated security threat landscapes, and related mitigations
- Ability to develop solutions for private cloud or tenancy
- Experience in building and deploying within a segmented network environment, focusing on virtualization and platform layers
- Experience in implementing and testing Quality of Service (QoS) DSCP markings of traffic to meet defined standards within secure federated environments
- Basis understanding of Hypervisor/Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Active Directory, and PKI certificate services
- Ability to take requirements, standards, and frameworks and apply them in a practical application to future proposed solution designs and systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment to meet changing deadlines and shifting priorities
- Experience in developing highly available/fault-tolerant systems, networks, and infrastructure in a connected, partially connected, degraded, or often disconnected state
