Responsibilities

The Cyber Security Lead Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining the organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures
  • Leading and mentoring a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Designing and implementing advanced security measures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conducting regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses
  • Managing and optimizing security information and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threat landscapes
  • Developing and delivering security awareness training programs for employees
  • Managing incident response processes and leading investigations into security breaches
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Providing expert guidance to senior management on cybersecurity matters and risk mitigation strategies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and emerging trends
  • Expertise in network security, encryption technologies, and access control systems
  • Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Demonstrated experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, Java, and C++
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in threat intelligence, incident response, and risk assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience working efficiently under pressure and managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
