Job Description

The Chief Executive Officer has executive leadership responsibility across the full suite of Te Runanga o Moeraki operational enterprise, being accountable for the overall organisational performance of Te Runanga o Moeraki Incorporated Society, and providing strategic oversight and direction of its commercial, environmental, and social entities through executive directorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate a significant strategic transformation agenda, aligned with Mo Ka Uri: Ngai Tahu 2050
  • Embed a new executive management structure
  • Manage an enhanced portfolio of runanga operations
  • Assume executive directorship responsibilities across various entities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience at the Chief Executive Officer level, or equivalent experience in a senior level management role requiring sound judgement, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in whanau centric environments
  • Experience in team leadership and people management
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, with an innate empathy and ability to engage with all types of people
  • Mana, with unquestionable credibility and integrity
