Mental Health Specialist Leader

About the Role
We are seeking 2 x experienced Psychiatrists to fill Full Time or Part Time positions in Christchurch, working within our South Community team. In this role, you will work as part of an integrated Adult General Service. You will enjoy a variety of presentations involving input into crisis, inpatient and community assessment and under care work. Experience in Adult Mental Health is essential, which could include inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug service, and rehabilitation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams where quality and professionalism are paramount. Every day will be different, offering you the opportunity to use your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver innovative acute and long-term care that meets individual needs. As a Psychiatrist, you will have a lead role in established multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the ongoing development of client-centred frameworks.
You must be eligible to gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
This position requires experience in delivering mental health services, including inpatient and outpatient care, crisis intervention, and community support. A strong focus on teamwork and collaboration is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality patient care while also contributing to the growth and development of the team.
The successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver's license and be willing to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
What We Offer
We offer competitive salaries, ranging from $350,000 to over $450,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a base salary of $325,000, with opportunities for bonuses and professional development.
