Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand. As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will work with adults experiencing mental health issues, providing expert input into new admissions and ongoing care. Your role will involve collaboration with other professionals to develop innovative acute and long-term care plans that meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist clinical expertise in assessing and treating adults with serious or acute mental disorders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
• Work closely with community services and emergency departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements
• Eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Proven experience in adult mental health, including inpatient, community, and psychiatric emergency services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
