Job Overview

The AVP, Corporate Accounting will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Corporate Accounting team.

You will oversee the general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting and a strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Corporate Accounting team, providing guidance and direction on accounting issues and complex transactions
  • Oversee the general ledger and month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Actuarial, Investments, and Tax, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
