Mental Health Liaison Officer

We are looking for an experienced professional to fill the position of Mental Health Liaison Officer in the Waiariki region. As a member of our team, you will work closely with the clinical team to deliver high-quality mental health services to children and young people.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual and group-based interventions, as well as develop whole of classroom programmes in kura and schools. You will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations and develop effective solutions.
You will also be required to maintain a deep understanding of the importance of early intervention and prevention in maintaining good mental health outcomes for children and young people. This will involve staying up-to-date with best practice and evidence-based research in the field of mental health.
