Job Summary

This position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mental health professional to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. As a Clinical Mental Health Specialist, you will work closely with clients, families, and community organizations to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.

About the Role

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide specialist intervention and case coordination services to optimize recovery and quality of life for our clients. You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve excellent outcomes.

We are looking for a registered nurse or other suitably qualified health professional with experience in community mental health and/or addiction services. The successful candidate will have sound assessment, psychosocial intervention, and talking therapy skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, particularly Māori/Iwi.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist intervention and case coordination services to optimize recovery and quality of life for clients
• Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve excellent outcomes
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address client needs
• Provide education and support to clients, families, and community organizations

Requirements

• Registered nurse or other suitably qualified health professional with experience in community mental health and/or addiction services
• Sound assessment, psychosocial intervention, and talking therapy skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, particularly Māori/Iwi
• Annual Practising Certificate and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand or other regulatory body
