About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endocrine service at Christchurch Outpatients. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, run various types of nurse-led clinics, undertake patient assessments, and implement planned care.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. You will be responsible for working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist testing and treatment for patients with a wide variety of Endocrine disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Running nurse-led clinics providing ongoing assessment and follow-up for patients in the community.
- Undertaking patient assessments and implementing planned care.
- Working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Endocrine nursing experience or General Medicine.
- Cannulation and venepuncture skills.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus.
