As a Senior Nurse Practitioner – Hepatology, you will join our team at Auckland City Hospital, providing specialist nursing care and coordination of care to the liver transplant population.
The Role
This advanced nursing practice role requires an experienced Senior Registered Nurse who possesses surgical experience and specialty knowledge and practice in Hepatology and/or transplantation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating liver transplants, educating patients and whanau, and providing long-term follow-up care to achieve the best outcomes. This is a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) role, Monday to Friday, day shifts with an on-call component required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Current registration as a Level 4 or senior registered nurse
* Surgical experience and specialty knowledge and practice in Hepatology and/or transplantation
* Experience in patient management and teaching
* Flexible and self-motivated approach
