About the Role

The Auckland District Health Board is seeking a skilled and experienced paediatric nurse to join its Patient at Risk (PaR) team. The successful candidate will have expertise in acute care or critical care and be looking to extend their scope as a Nurse Specialist.

This role involves working part-time in PaR and part-time in another acute setting, with the primary focus on proactively responding to deteriorating patients and providing a clear escalation pathway and response. As a key member of the ward teams, you will play a crucial role in managing children at risk of deterioration throughout Starship Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' clinical practice in an acute care setting post-registration, some of which should be at an advanced level. You will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to navigate challenging situations, and have a strong commitment to delivering whānau-centered care.
