We are seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to join our team at Starship Children's Hospital. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess and manage complex cases, develop and implement treatment plans, and educate families and carers on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric emergency nursing, with excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring. You will be responsible for assessing and managing complex cases, as well as developing and implementing treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our team at Auckland District Health Board as a Senior Nurse Practitioner. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced level nursing care to children and young people in our emergency department.

  • Assess and manage complex cases, including differential diagnoses, ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Administer therapies for the management of health needs for children
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families, whānau, and communities across a wide range of settings
  • Demonstrate leadership as part of the CED senior nursing team
