Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote Maori wellbeing and development.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders across iwi, public, and private sectors.
- Contribute to regional work programs, including leading and providing policy advice on project-related issues significant to Maori and Government.
- Act as an effective conduit for information both into and out of Maori communities to support Maori initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience working with community, preferably with Maori, and collaborating with others to achieve work goals.
- Research skills, including evaluation of opportunities and risks.
- Demonstrated capability in providing high-quality advice and recommendations based on research.
- High level of written communication and ability to work with numbers, including spreadsheets and databases.
- Technologically savvy, especially with the Microsoft suite.
- Some understanding of and ability to speak reo Maori and comfortable working in a te ao Maori environment.
