About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced mental health nurse to fill the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Child and Adolescent Family Services team. The successful candidate will provide specialist nursing care, expertise, and leadership in CAFS, ensuring the ongoing quality of service delivery within the team. They will also provide clinical guidance and support in developing and managing specialized portfolios for tamariki/rangatahi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist nursing care and expertise in CAFS
  • Lead and manage the development of specialized portfolios for tamariki/rangatahi
  • Clinical guidance and support to team members

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least five years of experience in mental health and addiction nursing
  • Proven ability to function in a nursing leadership role
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • A current full clean NZ drivers' licence
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
