Job Description

This Senior Manager role is responsible for leading our Otago Agri team, providing strategic leadership and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Associates. As a key member of the Business & Agri leadership team, you will leverage your strong banking background to support the delivery of our regional strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Associates, primarily across the Agri segment.
  • Be a critical member of the Business & Agri leadership team, leveraging your strong banking background to support the delivery of our regional strategy.
  • Promote and lead ANZ in the local and regional marketplace via events, community initiatives, and customer interactions.
  • Champion the use of data and insights to build knowledge and capability, enabling better customer outcomes.
  • Embed a strong conduct and risk culture across the business.
  • Build a framework for consistent approaches to areas in staff training, operating models, management of credit, and adoption of change.

Requirements

  • A successful track record in customer relationship management, risk management, and an ability to influence outcomes.
  • A deep understanding and knowledge of the Agri sector, including the ability to build market presence and win in the market.
  • A track record of growing market share.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing and workshopping complex deals.
  • Well-developed leadership ability, with proven experience in achieving results through collaboration.
  • Proven experience in providing direction, training, development, coaching, motivation to a team of talented individuals.
  • An ability to problem-solve in a complex environment while managing ambiguity and conflicting demands.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management experience and an ability to engage and influence at senior levels.
  • A sound understanding using technology to take a structured approach in setting up systems and processes to effectively manage and monitor against metrics.
