About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Tax Compliance and Accounting expert to join our NZ Tax Team for ANZ NZ. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to shaping a world where people and communities thrive.

About the Role
This role will provide tax compliance and accounting expertise to ensure accurate, timely and efficient NZ tax compliance and tax accounting obligations for our Pacific Island operations. You will also manage relationships across our global tax team and various tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review preparation of tax compliance and accounting across all of ANZ's NZ tax types to ensure accurate and timely compliance.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in the way ANZ completes its tax compliance and accounting obligations.
  • Monitor tax developments, communicate impacts to key stakeholders and help implement any necessary changes.
  • Work alongside and support Nga Tapuwae programme to ensure ANZ's tax obligations are well-managed across the programme.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
  • Strong tax compliance and accounting skills developed through a large accounting firm or similar in-house role.
  • Good knowledge of tax law.
  • Proven ability to build credibility through excellence, customer focus and strong financial and business acumen.
  • Planning and delivery skillset in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, including strong communication, facilitation and effective influencing capability with a diverse range of stakeholders.
