Court Reporter Specialist

Job Summary
Court reporters play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of judicial proceedings. As an Official Court Reporter, you will be responsible for verbatim recording of court hearings at high speeds and preparing transcripts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and transcribe court proceedings with utmost accuracy and speed.
- Prepare and maintain electronic backup storage of recorded proceedings.
- Manage exhibits and other administrative tasks assigned by the chief judge or designee.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must have a High school diploma or equivalent, formal training in machine shorthand or voice writing program, and experience working with computer equipment. Additionally, you must possess a Kansas Certified Court Reporter certificate (or be eligible to obtain a temporary certificate) in compliance with applicable Kansas Supreme Court rules.
