Our mission is to make regulation work better for everyone, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as the Head of Legal Organisational Enablement.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced lawyer with a deep understanding of the machinery of government to lead our small but dedicated legal team. As the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Ministry's legal operations, providing expert advice on legal compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic oversight and direction to the legal team
  2. Lead and manage the legal team to deliver high-quality legal services
  3. Advise on policy and operational proposals that support the Ministry's functions
  4. Develop and implement effective risk management strategies
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

About You

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and can think critically and strategically. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring others, so experience in leadership or senior practice is essential.
