Job Description

The Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care team at the University of Auckland coordinates personal and wellbeing support for students, providing early and holistic support to prevent further escalation and minimize duplication and gaps in service provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health, wellbeing, or conduct support and advice to students, staff, and university community members who have concerns about a student.
  • Use a case management approach to gather information, triage, assess, and identify the appropriate support for the student.
  • Remove confusion for students and staff trying to navigate university processes and structures, and get them the right support sooner.

About You

We are looking for a qualified professional with a background in mental health or social work, who has experience working with people who may be facing mild to severe mental health concerns. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a similar field.
  • Current membership of a relevant professional body.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with or providing mental health support to students or young adults.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of case management and its application to support services.
