Job Description

This role is responsible for leading our emergency management and business continuity functions. You'll build and maintain vital working relationships across the Ministry and externally with other agencies and organisations. Your exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to develop and implement effective strategies and plans to ensure organisational resilience and emergency preparedness.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in leadership and stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong understanding of NZ emergency management frameworks and systems

Others

This role includes the requirement to be on call as part of a shared duty roster. A current driver's licence and ability to drive Ministry (or rented) vehicles is required. The successful applicant will need the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
