The National Manager Emergency Management and Business Continuity is a critical role within the Ministry of Social Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our emergency management efforts and building organisational resilience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement effective emergency management strategies and plans
  • Lead a team of specialists responsible for preparing our organisation for, and responding to, emergencies
  • Maintain vital working relationships across the Ministry and externally with other agencies and organisations
  • Ensure compliance with NZ emergency management frameworks and systems

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • PROVEN experience in internal and external (cross-agency) stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of learning and development frameworks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • High degree of resilience and ability to work under pressure
