Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving improved environmental performance through monitoring and analyzing environmental effects.

You will ensure that mining activities are monitored for their impact on the environment, demonstrating compliance with consent conditions. Your duties will include:

  • Monitoring and sampling of sound, dust, vibration, rehabilitation projects, bird life, soils, water quality, and quantity.
  • Maintenance and calibration of all monitoring equipment.
  • Liaising with technical advisors and senior environmental staff to implement recommended actions.
  • Establishing and managing time, focus, and priorities to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Presenting environmental information to internal groups.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a tertiary qualification in environmental management or earth science. You must also have minimum 1 year's experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
