We are seeking a professional and reliable Seafood Delivery Driver to join our team at New Zealand Fish Market Limited.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver fresh seafood to customers across various locations.
  2. Operate vehicles safely to transport seafood over 5-6 days per week.
  3. Collect seafood from the airport, ensuring all products are handled correctly.
  4. Manage any required paperwork for the pickups and deliveries.
  5. Monitor and record temperatures during airport pickups to ensure seafood is transported at the correct temperature.
  6. Handle products with care to ensure freshness and quality are maintained.
  7. Weigh seafood if required to ensure it meets delivery specifications and customer orders.
  8. Handle seafood carefully to avoid damage during transport and unloading.
  9. Safely operate a forklift to load and unload deliveries.

Requirements

  • Forklift License: Essential for loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Driving Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Class 2 Licence: This is an advantage, but not required.
  • Physical Fitness: You will be handling seafood and operating a forklift, so physical strength and stamina are important.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be diligent with temperature checks, weighing seafood, and ensuring the quality of all deliveries.
  • Reliability & Flexibility: The role requires early starts, late finishes, and split shifts. Flexibility to work varying hours across 5-6 days per week is essential.
