The Wayfinder Mana Ake Programme in Schools is a critical initiative aimed at delivering early interventional health and wellbeing guidance, support, and service within Primary and Intermediate Schools. As a Community Health Navigator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of this programme.
This role involves working closely with the clinical team, providing individual and group-based interventions, and developing whole of classroom programmes in kura and schools. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with educators, whānau, and the broader community.
You will also be required to contribute to the development of culturally responsive workforce practices focused on building whakawhānaungatanga and relationships with tamariki and whānau. The design and delivery of wellbeing support will be informed by tamariki and families/whānau voice.
