About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities, providing support and assistance to enable them to live fulfilling lives in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized support and care to people with intellectual disabilities
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Encouraging independence and promoting community participation
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- Confident communication skills in Korean and English
- Knowledge and respect for Korean culture
- A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviors
- Comfortable using computers and tablets daily
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts
- Full NZ driver's license
