Job Description:

Spectrum Care seeks a highly motivated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our Residential Team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with our residents, their families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized support plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
  • With a strong focus on empowerment, you will assist individuals in developing life skills, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
  • You will be part of a dynamic team that values compassion, respect, and inclusivity, working collaboratively to create a safe and supportive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with residents, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to residents in daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident progress and adjust support plans accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and holistic support.
