Job Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Ranger in the Auckland Mainland District. This permanent, full-time role involves working on a variety of tasks, including repairing and maintaining tracks, contributing to the successful delivery of projects, and supporting volunteers and community groups.

Responsibilities

  1. Habitat Management: Participate in habitat management activities, such as track maintenance and repair, to ensure public conservation land is safe and accessible.
  2. Project Delivery: Contribute to the successful delivery of projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  3. Volunteer Support: Work with and support volunteers and community groups to achieve greater conservation outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have hands-on practical skills with attention to detail, a high level of physical fitness, and experience in the backcountry. You will also need to possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
