Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ranger Community. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the brand new Marine District, engaging with marine conservation and protection throughout Tīkapa Moana / Te Moananui-ā-Toi / The Hauraki Gulf Marine Park.

About the Role
The Ranger Community will work closely with colleagues across all the Marine District's varied workstreams, making a significant impact with community outreach and engagement. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop 'mission critical' planning and logistics to drive colleague's success
  2. Support the team as a DOC Warranted Officer
  3. Collaborate with all workstreams of the Marine District

Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in conservation or a related area
  • A full NZ Driving Licence
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages

What We Offer
The salary range for this position is $60,314 to $75,603. We also offer a range of training and skill development opportunities, including the DOC Warranted Officer Training Program.
